Feb. 7, 2023 — In the nation’s ongoing efforts to thwart cyberattacks and scammers, the National Science Foundation has awarded Wichita State University more than $2.4 million to educate and prepare the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.

Tallent knew about the school because of basketball, liked the Shocker mascot, and emailed coach Kristi Bredbenner.
Feb. 6, 2023 — The Wichita State University College of Engineering is hosting an Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day (IGED) event, commonly known as Girl Day, for high school girls from Wichita Public Schools. At 9 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, Wichita State will host the 52nd observance of Memorial '70, the annual ceremony that honors the 31 WSU football players, administrators and supporters who died in a 1970 plane crash in the Rocky Mountains. It will take place at the Memorial near 18th and Hillside.
